Iggy Azalea
Sydney born and raised, Amethyst Amelia Kelly (1990), best known as Iggy Azalea, is a popular female rapper and hip hop artist from Australia. She moved to the southern USA at the age of 16, so she could pursue her hip-hop music career. Her stage name comes from the name of her dog and the street she lived on. She gained proper public recognition after music videos for her songs called "Pu$$y" and "Two Times", released on YouTube. After the success of her mixtape titled Ignorant Art in 2012, she signed with Grand Hustle Records, owned by American rapper T.I. Her debut studio album called The New Classic came out in 2014 and peaked among the top five of several charts worldwide, including top of the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, making Azalea the first non-American female rapper to reach the top of the chart.
