Fench-born, Pierre-Emerick Emiliano François Aubameyang (1989) is a Gabonese professional footballer and soccer player, who plays for German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and the Gabon national team. He is considered as one of the fastest soccer players in the world. He plays at the forward or a winger position. He began his career at Milan, who sold him to French club Saint-Étienne in 2011. In 2013 he joined Borusia Dortmund. He made his international debut for Gabon in 2009. Aubameyang was the first Gabonese player to win the African Footballer of the Year award, in 2015. In 2016, he was named he eighth-best footballer in the world.
